Background

The client needed a reliable way to publish SEO-optimized content without relying on expensive writers and manual workflows. Every article previously required keyword research, structuring, drafting, editing, uploading, formatting, image creation, and performance tracking — repeated manually each time.

I designed and built a full automation pipeline where a single Google Sheets row triggers the entire production cycle.
The system performs deep-research, generates SEO-optimized long-form content, formats it for Webflow, saves a reference copy in Google Docs, generates images, and updates dashboards with performance metrics.

Challenges

Maintaining human-like quality while enforcing strict SEO structure (H1/H2, meta, internal links, schema), preventing duplicate topics, staying within Webflow API limits, converting Markdown to clean HTML, handling very long posts beyond token limits, and automatically matching the tone to the right audience.

Audit & System Review

Before building, I mapped the ideal lifecycle — keyword research and topic validation, structured outlining, blog generation, multi-format publishing, analytics and SEO insights, image creation, and automated archiving — then evaluated OpenAI, Webflow API, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and n8n to balance cost, reliability, and scalability.

Solution Architecture

Built on n8n with OpenAI, Webflow API, Google Sheets, Google Drive, analytics, and automated image generation, the workflow turns a single spreadsheet row into a full production pipeline — deep research, outline, AI-written SEO blog, Webflow formatting, automatic publishing, doc backups, performance tracking, and visuals.

Implementation

The system pulls topics from Google Sheets, runs structured deep research to extract semantic keywords and intent, generates outlines and writes articles in structured blocks with hooks, CTAs, internal links, and FAQ-style schema, converts Markdown to SEO-clean HTML, publishes via Webflow API, backs everything up to Google Docs, tracks performance and keyword insights, and automatically generates matching images for each post.

Documentation & Handover

I delivered clear guides on adding topics, adjusting word count, tone, and brand voice, understanding failures and retries, monitoring costs, and SEO best practices — so even non-technical users can confidently run the entire system.
